Integrations & Import

Bring work in from chat and other tools, and send events back out

Planner connects to the places where work starts — chat conversations and the project tool you used before — and tells your own systems when anything changes.

    File Tickets from Chat

Team members can file a request without leaving the conversation. An Admin connects the chat platform once and picks a default project; requests arrive in that project's intake queue, where someone accepts, declines or merges them as duplicates.

    Slack

Install the app, then use the slash command in any channel.

    Discord

Add the bot to your server, then use its slash command.

    Microsoft Teams

Add the bot in Teams and link it with a connection code.

    Google Chat

Add the app to a space and link it with a connection code.

Every incoming request is verified against the platform's own signature before anything is created.

    Import from Another Tool

Move a project over from Jira, Linear, Asana, ClickUp or monday.com. Each import creates a new Planner project.

    1. An Admin opens Planner settings → Migrations and chooses the source tool
    2. Enter an API token for that tool and the project to import
    3. Planner checks the credentials and proposes how each source status maps to a Planner workflow state
    4. Review and adjust the mapping before anything is imported
    5. Choose whether to include comments and attachments, then start the import

Source credentials are encrypted at rest and used only to run the import.

    API, Webhooks and Export

    • ✓ REST API with read-only or read-write tokens. Tokens are stored hashed and shown only once.
    • ✓ MCP server for AI tools — see Studio.
    • ✓ Outbound webhooks signed with HMAC, with a delivery log showing each response, automatic retries, and suspension of endpoints that keep failing.
    • ✓ Project export and import as a portable JSON file of the project's structure and issues, for moving work between workspaces.

Plans: The REST API, MCP and outbound webhooks are included in Business and Enterprise, as are chat integrations. Imports are available on every plan. All of them are set up by workspace Admins.
